Now, why does this matter?

Well, Jerome Powell last week said he feels the inflation coming from tariffs will be "transitory."

This triggered a lot of people because 1.) thats what Powell said about inflation in 2022 and it was NOT transitory and 2.) If trump is serious about the extent of tariffs he wants to impose across every country, it's hard to believe the resulting inflation from it would be "transitory"

today, you have another Fed President in Bostic coming out and saying that it may not be transitory...

If its not transitory, that 10-yr likely will continue to spike, which is not what the White House Wants.
