Did you know over 75,000 women were serving in the Women’s Royal Naval Service (WRNS) by the end of the war. My latest post is a brief history of the Wrens. https://t.co/mxPvXl8L8G
Who doesn’t like 1940s opinion polling. At the start of the war:
➡️ 2/3 of Britons supported Chamberlain as PM
➡️ >90% said Hitler, not the German people, was the enemy
➡️ a third thought it would last a year
But a lot changes in 8 months… https://t.co/oYK1BkgAd2

@spectator Just ignoring that they were human trafficking victims and judged that they would be at high risk of being identified and persecuted by the traffickers who abused them because of their sexuality? Almost like you deliberately left that bit out. Or didn’t read the judgement?

I can’t believe how much a con @HPSupport instant ink subscription is. I paid for a printer, then I pay for the ink and the paper, then they say I have to pay to actually print with it. I can’t even print what they send me without paying more.
@Telegraph This just isn’t accurate, Atlas intel had it bang on as did Emerson, Trafalgar and the poll averages for RCP, 538 pointed to narrow Trump victories in majority of close states. Other pollsters had mostly dead heats and will end up 1-2% away at most when the final talllies are in.
@TheNewsAgents@maitlis@jonsopel@lewis_goodall Polls said it was close in 7 states - it was. They said he led in GA, NC, AZ and PA by just 1-2% which is likely to be the outcome. Polls said NV, MI, WI within 1% e/way. The polls pointed to this outcome. Question is why media personalities didn’t follow them to see it coming.
@GuidoFawkes If you half it and it moved to private levels, you would only reach 70% of existing output. But sure, people should listen to you for policy ideas…….
Don’t know about you, but I have complete confidence that Ticketmaster will manage a new secretive ballot process with efficiency and credibility #oasis#ticketmaster
If you thought England were bad. Belgium have just been holding it in the corner to protect a 0-0 with Ukraine so they can go through second on goal difference………
