I'm old enough to remember when an American's right to bear arms—even while protesting—was something the right all believed the federal government must never infringe upon. ICE shot a man in the back while he was restrained. We need our leaders to lead right now—deescalate.
Maybe it’s time we respect the vote of the American people (and the resulting policies) even if we may not agree with it or it’s difficult to accept. #prayingforpeace
My thoughts on the political news cycle: Amazon has a leadership principle ‘Disagree and Commit’-Leaders are obligated to respectfully challenge decisions when they disagree, even when doing so is uncomfortable or exhausting. Once a decision is determined, they commit wholly. 🧵
@RepJasmine Actually that’s not what he said. The point is to base hiring on credentials, not make it a DEI hire. Stop using your statements for clickbait.
Brilliant comment from @NYTimes reader.
“The very best thing that the Democrats can do for themselves is not ideological. It is to make the deep Blue cities and states where they have a supermajority into American paradises. Los Angeles, New York, California, Baltimore, Chicago, etc. Show us that you can got her an effectively. Low crime, great schools, moderate taxes, excellent mass transit, etc. Then the rest of the country will come to believe that your way is the right way. Because it is not what we have seen.”
We won. Kamala lost. My ask of Republicans: we’re done dunking on Harris/Biden/etc. My ask of Democrats: give Donald Trump a chance this time, to improve the lives of all Americans. And yes, that includes you.
