The Big Lie that raising livestock depletes the planet depends on you dismissing the natural laws of grassland ecology and focusing solely on industrial livestock practices. https://t.co/PG8GeXk5J6 #vegan#Beef
Why are we always hearing about what the US and NATO won't do and never about what they will do? It's been one green light after another for Putin. Now Syria and Belarus are invited to slaughter Ukrainians in Ukraine.
Stop telling me NATO isn't obliged to defend Ukraine from Putin's war crimes. The obligation is moral. The rationale is strategic. You aren't obliged to spout Kremlin talking points on social media, but you're doing it anyway.
If you want perspective on how how people <35 die in the US, relative to COVID, take a look. It would be nice if we placed a proportionate amount of societal energy into preserving life via prevention of MV acc, ODs, homicide, suicide, & drownings (not shown but 12x more for <5)
Office environments are created for extroverts.
Remote work levels the playing field for people who feel exhausted by chatting with people all day.
CEOs (who are mostly extroverts) rushing to get back to the office should realize not everyone is wired like them.
Requiring people to "earn a living" leads to the exploitation of people and our environment. We have to decouple our existence from work in order to better prioritize what work is actually valuable and what work we should do less of because it's socially or ecologically harmful.
After Vancouver gave people experiencing homeless $5,800:
*50% found stable housing in a month
*70% were food secure in a month
*Alcohol, drug and cigarette spending dropped 40%
*A year later, average savings account was $1,000

This is worth watching. It's unacceptable for the BBC to be spreading highly-contested economic fallacies - no matter how didactic they think they are being. It's the equivalent of climate pseudoscience. All future austerity will be a choice, not necessity 👇🏽
One day in the future, hopefully soon, when the full-time working week is four days or less we’re going to look back on this period and think what on earth were we doing.
