@carlosarb12 visiting Toluca fields for selections along with the @CIMMYT bread wheat improvement team, hope you got good training and insights, keep up the good work on phenotyping
📢 The incredible response to our recent piece @Nature on ending misogyny in science highlights the scale of work still to do.

Congratulations @Liana_Ace, @Plantyperson, @ErikMurchie, @yepezglz, @gemmahildegard, @JaimeGaratuza, @FcoPintoE for your paper which involved 3+ years of hard work and spending nights in the field to understand wheat responses to increased night temperature
In our 3-year field study we found that for every 1 C increase in nocturnal temperature, wheat yields decreased on avg 1.9%. Also, "heat tolerant" genotypes did not always cope well w/ higher night temps. Check out our new paper using T-FACE in @NewPhyt : https://t.co/7FI3C5tc3V
"Developing wheat ideotypes will require multidisciplinary work across stakeholders from researchers to end users" - new opinion paper on biotic x abiotic stress interactions for wheat improvement @carlosarb12, @carorivera19, @GIAradottir, @leocrespoh

In this paper we discuss the importance of omics integration to develop new wheat varieties adapted to interacting biotic and abiotic stresses under future climate conditions @leocrespoh@fpinerach@carorivera19 @GIAradottir https://t.co/vGBM3MczXo
@FcoPintoE @ErikMurchie @CIMMYT Gracias Francisco, siempre agradecido por tu supervisión y amistad durante el doctorado y el tiempo que llevo en CIMMYT
I am very proud to share that I won the Carlos Fuentes Award in the STEM category, a recognition to Mexican PhD students in the UK. I want to thank @ErikMurchie for his wonderful mentorship and @CIMMYT for allowing me doing world class research.
