I’m happy to take an each-way chance on Loingseoir at around 7/1.

This veteran is now back to a very workable handicap mark and has been shaping better than the bare results suggest. A step back up in trip looks a positive, while the 5lb claim from the apprentice further enhances his chance.

He finished third over a similar course and distance from a comparable mark last summer and has been running on well in recent starts without quite getting the race run to suit. If ridden a little closer to the pace, he has every chance of getting competitive.

At the price, he looks to have a solid place chance with enough upside to spring a surprise if things fall right.
