@BlabyDC Can you please confirm that in Cosby you are collecting refuse on Bank Holidays next year, instead of Saturdays (which is what you normally do on a Bank Holiday weekend)? Your bin dates flyer for Cosby lists all the Mondays of 2024, some of which will be Bank Holidays.
@aw_mckinley I'm no cyclist, but at this level you might be better to self-insure?! I pay less for Comprehensive Cover on our Fiesta (albeit, that's only one car), which feels all kinds of wrong.
@VodafoneUK My wife ported her number to your network several days ago (new contract), but still can't get incoming calls. She has spent hours speaking on webchat and to 'experts'. You still haven't fixed it. Why isn't this urgent? Too distracted by your lucrative merger with 3?
Time for fans to 'step back from viewing duties' for @BBCMOTD? @GaryLineker's neither newsreader nor civil servant, so why the muzzle? - he presents football! I think the public intelligent enough to discern personal views from corporate policy: BBC lacks faith in us all.
@PepTeam Guardiola is reported as asking if Gerrard's slip was MCFC's fault. Be reassured, from an LFC fan, of course it wasn't.
That it cost Liverpool the title - that's what is on you, allegedly.
@MathsNot My take: g~9.81(3sf) is a scientific approximation for planet Earth. g=9.8 (exactly, no rounding) is a convenient Earth-like mathematical model where we have simplified arithmetic to gain far better understanding at the minor sacrifice of fidelity.
@kingston2707 @MathsNot@ofqual Ofqual, of course, *need* to make this their business. Any grade disparity is not as wide as is often reported, but this is in effect by luck rather than by regulation - timely action now can not only harmonise awards but serve to leave schools with choice of specification.
@kingston2707 @MathsNot@ofqual Actually I think a college will, or at least they are being seriously remiss if they don't, seeing as (I)GCSE are the effective currency of their admissions, you'd expect a ready awareness. Universities, possibly not, although hopefully A-levels will predominate decisions.
@MathsNot @kingston2707 But these are poor reasons to reduce the number of options. Ofqual could be more open minded. Grading could be more properly aligned (DfE's own analysis of Nov '19 implies a modest difference which is tractable, presuming the conclusions are not flawed by early entries).
@MathsNot @kingston2707 Genuinely intrigued as to why you would say this, @MathsNot. To me, the Edexcel Intl GCSE looks good, feels good to teach, prepares well for A-level... Why not achieve level playing field by accreditation as alternative GCSE Spec ('Edexcel Mathematics Spec B' or some such)...
@bt_uk It is not doing it as frequently now, but if there is some sort of fix I could apply in advance of it happening again that would be useful. Thanks in anticipation...
As January games likely to be behind closed doors anyway, surely this is a sensible move which goes some way to help? JH - loved your interview about player welfare.

Given fixture congestion, covid (both restrictions and direct impact on clubs), player welfare, etc.: can any of you defend two legs in the semis?
Surely for this year do as FA Cup - one leg, neutral venue.

Why don't @CambridgeInt put up a post telling centres what to do if they are having problems administering the BMAT exam? Because lots of us are, and the silence isn't useful.
For anyone who happens to stumble across this as is probably obvious I am struggling to understand how a figure as low as 26 can be reached. WJEC's is 42% which is better (but still surprisingly low). I am not alone: @CroydonHighDHA puts it all far more eloquently.
@ASCL_UK
@AQA. In your response to ASCL you say 'But it’s important to remember that we too have had to do new and extra work this year', as part of your defence of the level of exam fee rebate you selected (26%).
