On July 25, 2025, at a little before 9 a.m., a man attacked a woman from behind and attempted to rape her while she was running on the Little Econ Greenway trail near Yates Road.

Deputies responded and conducted a canvas for evidence. This video shows the person of interest in this case moments before the attack. If you have any information about this crime, or can identify this man, please call the OCSO non-emergency line at 407-836-4357 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS, where you can remain anonymous an qualify for a reward.

Please remain vigilant if you are out running or walking. Try to go with someone, instead of running alone. Make sure to share your location with a friend. Avoid using the noise-canceling feature on headphones or earbuds. If you see anything suspicious, call 911 so our deputies can respond and investigate.
