Ngl I’m tired of the constant men vs women, single vs relationship, child vs the childless discourse as a whole. Like, just do what works for you and let other people do them, damn.
Some little white girl (between 8 and 10) in Starbucks just looked up at me and said "Whoa, a beautiful chocolate man" and her dad literally grabbed her arm and said "Emily what the fuck is the matter with you" 😂😂😂😂
The biggest skill you can develop is the ability to reset fast. Bad conversation? Move on. Bad day? Start fresh tomorrow. Missed workout? Hit it the next day. Poor decision? Learn and adjust. You can’t control what happens to you, but you control how long you let it affect you.
The most underrated act of kindness is simply letting people be. Let them mispronounce a word, talk too much about a show they love, or get excited about something you don't quite understand. Everyone has something that lights them up, let them shine, even if it's not your thing.
Resilient people move so gracefully, you really can’t bend, fold, or break them. All you can do is watch them pivot and create better opportunities out of thin air with such grace.
