Err, the 1979 NSW planning overhaul was triggered by the union Green Bans, significant heritage destruction, and developers rampantly abusing 1919 planning controls.

Pauline Hanson's party might be called One Nation, but she cannot be trusted to govern for one.
The job of the majors is to govern for the people of Australia.
For anyone feeling attacked by this, using her own words, "where am I supposed to go?" becomes a very valid question.
One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has questioned the existence of "good Muslims" in an extraordinary rant on Sky News.
Hanson, whose party is experiencing an extraordinary surge in opinion polls, spoke with host Sharri Markson and delivered a spray that was later walked back by Markson herself.
"They [Muslims] hate Westerners," Hanson said, "That's what it's all about. You say there's great Muslims out there, well I'm sorry, how can you tell me there are good Muslims?"
Markson attempted to immediately clarify Hanson's comments before later stating that "as an Australian Jew, I don't support what (she) just said."
Hanson has this morning doubled down on her comments, claiming on social media that "I guess they [the media] aren't used to hearing a politician tell the truth."
