UK McD opened a free pop-up shop to show beef quality by grinding premium forequarter and flank cuts in front of customers, same process as the plant - just on a smaller scale. You can also take a patty you made home.

It shows what's in our burgers: 100% beef, with only salt and pepper added as it comes off the grill. McD employees & ranchers were also there to answer any questions 🍔

One time a chef returned some nuggets because they were pink and raw, someone grabbed the wrong basket out of the fryer🤦‍♂️. He wasn’t mad, just amazed our nuggies came in raw and were 100% white meat chicken.

@McBossLadi shows the inside prior to cooking. It’s 100% raw chicken that gets a tempura batter and is flash-fried at the factory to set the batter.

People ask me what’s the difference between McD and Burger King.

I’ll give you an example:

When we rolled out frappes, we bought a $15k self-contained machine that made each frappe/smoothie and self-cleaned after each use. It’s an impressive machine.

A month later, I walked into a BK that had rolled out their frappe. They had a $25 residential blender on the counter and then proceeded to eye-measure a mixture out of a carton, a scoop of ice, and pressed blend.

That’s the difference between McD and BK. No need to explain further.

🚨 @McDonald's is dropping a new national value platform on 4/21. This new platform replaces the buy one add one for $1.

✅ 10 items under $3, with a rotating spotlight. First up: $1.50 Sausage McMuffin and $2.50 McDouble.
✅ $4 Breakfast Value Meal.
✅ $5 / $6 Meal deal (continuing it).

Personal thoughts: this is huge. It has been in development for well over a year with lots of meetings and discussions. If a product is already under $3, it is most likely that it will be reduced in price even more. National price points are very hard in our system due to different cost structures (e.g., NYC vs. AL vs. San Fran). This will help provide customers with everyday predictable value at every McDonald's across the US.
