@tsukeyi I know I realized and then I read your thread and I was like. Okay this is why you don't tweet first thing in the morning. Girl... ๐ญ I am sorry about it!
Okay. I've had enough of this. If you don't know what you're talking about, have you thought that maybe you should just be quiet? What do you actually understand about the Black Dahlia murder and its place in American society? You had your grace period and this post blew it.
@Kujma32@1b4nny_ Eh, thatโs more iffy. The movie is set immediately after WWII (Iโm assuming 1946 since thatโs the release date) and Penacony is inspired by the Roaring 20s, so 1920-30ish. Pretty close but not definitive.
Since there is too much misinformation going around right now, I want to clear up the misconceptions on the case of Elizabeth Short, or "The Black Dahlia" a gruesome murder case that occurred back in Los Angeles, 1947 ๐งต
Anyway, your opinion on whether the gacha game character draws parallels to her or not doesnt matter to me, just stop fucking making shit up and fearmongering a real life murder case that has been extensively researched by hundreds of thousands of people over the past 70+ years.
And just to say it, I don't even know anything about Constance. Y'all got too much time on your hands following a game that closely. But I know how you're talking about this. Ignoring that it was treated salaciously and disrespectfully from the jump isn't respect. It's ignorance.
The audacity of saying that the Hollywood region is definitely not basing their succubus character off the Hollywood movie about the adulteress. Okay you had your fun. Can you stop dragging murder victims into your weird campaigns against mobile gacha now?
i can't stop laughing ๐ญ most of the reviews talk about how bad the cgi, script, and acting are but i was not prepared for how amateur the cinematography looks
is this the director's first movie?? why is this shot like an advertisement??? it literally looks like a comedy skit ๐
I'm not confused. I am bewildered on why they would be blamed for this at all. I don't care about whether they're being "solely blamed" or not, is there any good reasoning over why they should be blamed at all? The amount of energy KR fans have to hate lesbians but not a company.
People seem confused that KR fans are solely blaming vvmeng and alnst crew. No, it's just how events are handled in South Korea in general too. The pop up events, the fansign event, all of it felt either rushed or disorganized, even merch sales.
Fan events are built by fans. If you want a good event, make it. No creator, especially an independent one, should be expected to seek those opportunities out on their own. Make them yourselves and then invite them. Maybe then you'll learn to appreciate.
I'm going to be very direct about this. This whole controversy is at its very foundation completely delusional about what a creator is obligated to give to a fandom and calling it favoritism cannot even be called a stretch or a misinterpretation of the circumstances. It is a lie.
I think the western alnst fandom should hear out the Korean fandom about their grievances. I know I'm a small account, but I hope I can help get this out there because I was also ignorant of this issue. (THREAD)
And one last note. It's funny how in the thread they even out themselves for just being haters. Unless these events are being personally handled by Vivinos, it's hard to see any "past controversies" as anything other than the real reason why some "fans" might look for mistakes.
