Reception ended last week with another treat- a teddy bears picnic!!

We have been saving up all the profits from our Friday tuck shop since September and today we hired bouncy castles for Reception and KS1! We had sooooo much fun!!! 🏰

Our last Tuesday in Bramblebank Wood for Reception today and of course it rains AGAIN ☔️😂
Recently, some of our children have had visits from the tooth fairy so today we made fairy houses for the tooth fairy and her helpers.

After reading ‘Somebody Swallowed Stanley’ yesterday, Reception class decided to help make our woodland area a safer place for the wildlife! Litter pickers at the ready!!! 🗑️🚮 @AlthorpeKeadby

Today Reception class made ‘campfire doughnuts’. They were the BEST and tasted just like the ones at the seaside. A huge thumbs up from us 👍🏼

Our first sunny day in Bramblebank Wood since September ☀️😂
Today we cooked popcorn 🍿, challenged ourselves to walk backwards on the rope bridge and hunted for bugs 🐞🐜😡🪱

Another wet and soggy day in Bramblebank Wood but it doesn’t stop Reception having fun!
Today we made pirate ships and tested them to see if they floated or not. We also made a big pirate ship and set sail to our own treasure Island 🏝️

Reception had a great time in Bramblebank Wood again today. We had a chocolate treat from the Wizard of the Wood and even Django surprised us by hiding up a tree! Then we had toast and jam around the fire pit 🔥

Today in Bramblebank Wood Reception class were painting using our handmade, woodland paintbrushes. We loved getting a little bit messy 😁

In music today, Django shared his percussion instruments with Reception and we had a go at playing some! It was fun 🙂

What an exciting day we’ve had in Reception!!
We found a hedgehog in our outside area 🦔.
We fed him some worms then Mr Whitehouse rang a special hospital who came to take him away and look after him ❤️❤️

Todays Bramblebank Wood adventures include making a rope swing, climbing trees, finding autumn treasures and climbing along our rope bridge!
