12 Days of Hoopsmas: Day 4!
I’m giving away random college basketball gifts every day until Christmas.
Up next, a framed commemorative newspaper of your choice!
All you have to do is RT to enter. Good luck!
@gak_pdx Yep. TSMC is probably one of the few to get their time/mask level (litho + whatever dep, etch, or other you're patterning the wafer for at that step) under a day, but the complex designs they're running can have 50-80 mask levels. So months in the front end, before dice and pkg.
@dadgumboxscores In 1971, UNC opened the season with 28-0 and 27-0 wins at Richmond and Illinois, respectively. That's the only instance of them beating any two teams back-to-back on the road since the ACC was founded.
If State wins, they'll tie their own record for lowest seed to make the ACC finals, set in 2007. Prior to that, the record was held by the 1997 8th-seed, also NC State.
Both teams lost to UNC in the finals.
Perhaps worth noting that Miller is an infamously terrible Duke alum while the head of this dance company is the MacArthur Grant-winning daughter of legendary UNC soccer coach Anson Dorrance.
@CaffeinatedLiby That’s rough - Megan had to go through the same with her aunt a few weeks ago, and no one should be backseat-driving a decision like that. So sorry about your mom.
I don’t recall the national coverage of Hubert Davis’s first few games following Roy Williams having this type of tone, and I’m interested in the possible reasons why.
First loss as Duke's coach comes in his third game on a neutral court vs. a blueblood.
It happened to Mike Krzyzewski 42 years ago.
Also happened to Jon Scheyer last night. Experience can't be faked. Scheyer knows it. His players are about to learn why.https://t.co/op4cxD0hL2
I’m not even sure it’s a bad thing - articles like this do Scheyer no favors, and UNC may have had a better year for struggling early and being underestimated the rest of the way. It’s interesting the difference though (if I’m not just misremembering).
