I love how this anime established that regardless of how Islam says to "treat the slaves with kindness" it's still an unfair horrible practice, as it removes one's autonomy and reduces their rights socially

I’d DIE for a Bride’s Story adaptation with the quality and love they’ve given Jaadugar. Perhaps, and only perhaps, the great reputation and acclaim for this series could put Bride’s Story in the eyes of producers and push them to adapt it. It’s a fantastic series too.

كانت فاطمة في الأصل أَمَةً أُخِذَت أسيرةً من مدينة طوس أثناء الغزو المغولي، ثم أُدخِلت بعد ذلك إلى البلاط الإمبراطوري المغولي، وبالرغم من وضعها الاجتماعي المتدني في بادئ الأمر، فقد أحبتها الإمبراطورة توراكينا خاتون (الزوجة السادسة لأوقطاي خان) ووضعتها تحت حمايتها، وجعلتها مستشارتها وكاتمة أسرارها، حتى أصبح نفوذ فاطمة يفوق نفوذ كبار قادة المغول ووزرائهم، وهذا أثار حفيظة عدد من أمراء المغول وسخطهم عليها.

لكن بعد تولي غيوك خان الحُكم وانحسار نفوذ والدته الإمبراطورة، تغيّر كل شيء في حياة فاطمة، فقد كان يَمقتها ويُكِنُّ لها العِداء الشديد بسبب سلطتها المطلقة وتدخلها في شؤون الدولة.

لذا استغل مرض أخيه كودان واتهمها باستخدام السحر والشعوذة لإصابته بالمرض الذي أودى بحياته، كما اتهمها باستغلال أفراد العائلة الحاكمة لتوسيع نفوذها، فاعتُقلت فاطمة على الفور بناءً على هذه التهم.

بعد ذلك حَكمتْ المحكمة المغولية على فاطمة بالإعدام، ونُفِّذ الحكم عام 1246م بطريقة تتوافق مع تقاليد المغول في إعدام النبلاء أو المتهمين بالسحر، حيث لُفَّت في بساط وأُلقيت في الماء لتموت غرقًا.

وعلى الرغم من إقرار فاطمة بالتهم المنسوبة إليها، فقد أوضح المؤرخ الفارسي علاء الدين الجويني في كتابه (تاريخ فاتِح العالَم) أن هذا الاعتراف انتُزع منها وهي تحت التعذيب الشديد، وأشار إلى أن القضية برمتها كانت مجرد ذريعة سياسية للتخلص من نفوذها الكبير الذي استفزَّ الحاشية الملكية.
