Finally!!! Once you’re found guilty then you should never have had the choice to attend or not!! It should not have taken bereaved families to fight for what should be automatic! #ForOlivia 🦋 sleep well beautiful girl ♥️
Tonight will see a debate in Parliament to "roll over" the motion to keep the Public Office Accountability Bill alive.
We welcome the opportunity to get this right.
This delay is not because of families but because the government has not yet

For those who have been following for #HillsboroughLaw updates, I am very disappointed to say that, unfortunately, there still is not one for us to give.
Following the cancellation of the Report Stage hearing on 19th January, we (@NowHillsborough) have not had any meaningful update or meeting with members of the government, despite multiple requests for some form of resolution and/or update.
Whilst we are not naive enough to think that the Public Accountability Bill is the only thing on the Prime Ministers desk, we equally find it frustrating that we are being met with such a lack of candour!
The irony!

#PublicAccountabilityBill
The Public Accountability Bill was a pledge made by @Keir_Starmer when he was the leader of the opposition.
That pledge then became a promise, and that promise has been reiterated as a personal promise on several occasions, in private, in public, and in Westminster.
The Public Accountability Bill will be a lasting legacy, not just to those who made it happen or those lost, but to the PrimeMiinister, if fulfilled correctly and in full.
A chance to fix the disconnect victims of State failings and cover ups, and an establishment known for protecting itself.
2026 has only just begun and it has already given us multiple examples of why this Bill is paramount.
The hideous evidence being heard at the Grooming Gang Inquiry; victims failed for too long and ignored, the despicable and disgraceful actions of Peter Mandelson, the harrowing personal accounts of those providing evidence at the Covid inquiry, The Post Office Horizon Inquiry is awaiting its final report, as in the Thirlwall Inquiry, the Lampard Inquiry, Southport Inquiry and the Nottingham Inquiry are all still active.
Families and survivors still awaiting answers when they have already waited too long, worrying about how they will afford the legal fees to be represented at an Inquest or a public inquiry.
We've respected the pause but there has not been any progress!
This can be simply resolved by adopting the original amendment!

A #HillsboroughLawNow thread
It has been almost 37 years since the Hillsborough Disaster
51 years since the Birmingham Bombings.
49 years since the convictions of the "Shrewsbury 24" were overturned.
The Infected Blood Scandal started as far back as 50 years ago, and people have continued to die ever since.
48 years since the Association for Children Damaged by Hormone Pregnancy Tests formed their campaign group.
We know that Grooming Gangs have been operating for at least 30 years. They STILL continue today.
Nuclear test veterans were exposed to radiation during atomic tests that took place nearly 74 years ago and occurred over a period of 15 years.
26 years since the nightmare began for all those involved in the Post Office Scandal.
12 years since 7 year old Zane Gbangbola died in his bed.
Nearly 8 years and 9 months since the Manchester Arena Terror attack.
8 years since it emerged that the Home Office had not properly recorded the details of those involved in the Windrush Scandal.
7 years since the horrific Grenfell Tower Fire.
6 years since 15 year old Gabriel Santer fell to his death and 6 years since the Covid-19 pandemic claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.
3 years since Headteacher Ruth Perry took her own life following the brutal, unfair OFSTED inspection.
Too many different injustices with the common factor that NO ONE has ever been held accountable for the wrongdoings and the cover-up of every single appalling tradgey listed above.
Those of us left behind are bereft, exhausted, forced to relive the trauma time and time again, and yet we STILL wait for a Public Accountability Bill.
In its entirety.
4 weeks since we agreed on a brief pause whilst the amendment for Intelligence Services was dealt with.
Yet STILL have to wait.
We STILL sit here in deep angst as we wait for change.
A promise and a pledge were made, and quite frankly, this is not good enough.
Collectively written on behalf of the victims involved with the Hillsborough Law Now campaign group.

After almost 8 years we made a very difficult decision to revisit the city room at the Manchester Arena for the first time since the atrocity which has changed our lives forever. A very emotional visit but something we are glad we have now done.🩷💙💔
Under new guidance prison sentences will be less likely for ‘ethnic minorities’ and ‘faith minority communities’.
This would create a two tier justice system.
We belive in equality under the law.
Why doesn’t Labour?
@darrengrimes Absolutely not!! They know about each and everyone of these animals and yet they can’t or WON’T be touched 🤬 families are suffering because of the failures in this country! @mcrinquiry families are still fighting for recommendations to be completed! Empty words Prime Minister!
@piersmorgan@Keir_Starmer How many times do families have to suffer because this country can’t or WON’T do anything about these animals!! Where’s the Human Rights for our children? @Keir_Starmer your words are empty!! These animals are walking amongst us and MI5 and the likes all know it! DO SOMETHING NOW
'Wake up everybody, ISIS and Al-Qaeda are back in a big way. I hate to say this, clearly something is coming our way too...'
@PatrickChristys believes the threat of Islamic terrorism will soon strike in the UK.
