FINAL: Brewers 3, Cubs 1
The best team in baseball this season advances to the NLCS, where the Dodgers await. Milwaukee did it with excellent pitching and three solo HR, and Miller Park will host Game 1 on Monday. The Cubs pushed the Brewers to the limit. Milwaukee was better.
@MichealGumbert @BrewPack8 That’s great! It’s certainly a little easier to follow & watch some of their games when you’re in the same time zone. Hubby is a huge Dodgers fan so when we beat them it sure is fun.
The Milwaukee @Brewers:
-Have won 11 straight games
-Own sole possession of first place in the NL Central for the first time this season
-HAVE THE BEST RECORD IN BASEBALL
When you try to hack your 15 year old MacBook to upgrade it to the a newer OS system but you end up corrupting your hard drive and lose all your data. I just want my 18 gb of music back man 😂
We are saddened to learn of the passing of Bob Uecker, a legendary ambassador for our game.
After a six-year playing career with the Braves, Cardinals and Phillies from 1962-67, Uecker spent more than half a century as “Voice of the Brewers” beginning in 1971.
Uecker’s self-deprecating humor endeared him to a national audience. He appeared in popular movies, commercials, talk shows, and even starred in his own TV sitcom. As a broadcaster, he worked national telecasts, All-Star Games, and the World Series. His dry style and wit belied a deep knowledge and passion for baseball, all of which made him one of the game’s finest broadcasters.
Uecker, a member of the 1964 World Series champion Cardinals, was the 2003 Ford C. Frick Award winner and a five-time Wisconsin Sportscaster of the Year. He was 90 years old.
🚨ALERT: Update on helping: We have received and distributed truckloads of donations. You all are amazing. We had guests from the restaurant come and help drive products to the Pasadena Convention Center with us as well as help make over 200 hot meals to bring up. We are giving away meals at the restaurant to those in need as well. Tomorrow, we will be making a drop for pet supplies and baby supplies, then make more trips to LA for all other needs and hot food. Thank you to the Dream Center and @MatthewBarnett for organizing and distributing so many products, as well as WCK.
Specific needs are still Diapers, Wipes, Baby Formula, Water, Socks, Shoes (kids too), and Hygiene Products.
For anyone in OC who drives to drop product, we are happy to give you a free meal at the restaurant as a thank you.
Thank you to everyone who has chipped in!
Update: Anyone who has left LA and headed south. You are welcome at our restaurant, 16600 Pacific Coast Highway, 92649. We have a large parking lot, you can stay as long as you need and camp out. We will provide free meals for all of those affected. If anyone has any coordination in process for meals, supplies, etc for LA, reach out to me, we will provide as much food to deliver and arrange supplies as well.
@gingerkiller Love this. Hubby and I are 3 years married 15 years together and our favorite nights are when we binge eat a bunch of crap and stay in to play video games 😂
We made the tough but right decision to say goodbye to our senior dog yesterday. It feels so empty at home and the silence is LOUD. This hurts but she is no longer in pain.
