Looking to connect with talented people in SF and NYC who might be open to joining high-growth YC & VC-backed startups.
Currently recruiting:
• Software Engineers
• Forward Deployed Engineers
• Backend Engineers
• Account Executives
$150K–$400K+ depending on role & experience.
Not actively looking? I’m always happy to connect with great people for future opportunities.
DMs are open ❤️
I'm curious about this.
I keep seeing early-stage startups put a lot of weight on what engineers build outside of work.
Side projects. Open source. An active GitHub. Something you built just because you wanted to.
Once you have 5+ YOE, is this actually a good hiring signal?
I kind of love how my workday changes personality around lunchtime.
Morning: coffee, emails, sourcing, everything pretty calm.
Then suddenly: calls, Slack, 17 tabs open, five things happening at once 😂
I don’t know why, but I really love that change of pace.
This one is for engineers who are obsessed with building great software.
I’m partnering with an a16z-backed Series A startup in NYC building a unified workspace for email, docs, tasks & collaboration.
Think ambitious product + serious engineering culture.
→ $160K–$300K base + equity
→ NYC, in person
→ 0–10 YOE
→ TypeScript / Rust
→ SolidJS is a plus
→ Own features end-to-end
→ High autonomy, real product impact
They’re not looking for a perfect stack match.
They’re looking for builders.
Engineers who have shipped real products, can go deep technically, move comfortably across the stack, and genuinely care about the craft.
Side projects?
Interesting GitHub?
Technical writing?
Something you built just because you wanted to?
Even better!
If this sounds like you, I’d love to meet you.

Partnering with a fast-growing SF startup looking for a Payments / Infrastructure Engineer to own systems where reliability really matters.
Up to $210K + equity
SF, in person
2-5 years of experience
You’ll work on:
→ Distributed systems + high-throughput data
→ Card issuing + money movement
→ Ledger integrity + reconciliation
→ CI/CD + monitoring
→ Scaling from hundreds → hundreds of thousands of users
They care about strong system design, first-principles thinking, and experience building infrastructure at scale.
DM me if interested :)
Partnering with an early-stage AI startup in SF looking for an AI Engineer who has actually shipped LLM systems to production.
You’ll own the AI layer end-to-end:
→ LLMs, RAG + evals
→ Agents + tool use
→ Python
→ Production AI systems
→ Ship weekly
→ 30K users
→ Up to $400K base + equity
→ Onsite in SF
→ No visa sponsorship
Small team. Lots of ownership. Real product, real users.
DM me if interested :)
@kartikb753 The evals are built into the shipping loop, they build the eval harness before the feature, then ship to production weekly and watch what happens in the wild. So it’s definitely broader than just eval regressions.
Partnering with an early-stage AI startup in SF looking for a seriously strong Harness Engineer.
Not someone who just fixes bugs — someone who builds systems that can identify problems, improve themselves, and report back.
Looking for someone who:
→ Has real harness / agentic engineering depth
→ Is strong across frontend + backend
→ Lives at the frontier of AI models + OSS
→ Has built and shipped something real
→ Thinks like a builder, not a manager
📍 SF — in office
💰 $200K–$300K + 0.1%–0.7% equity
If you’ve built self-improving AI systems and this sounds like your kind of problem, DM me.
YC doesn't care about your funding announcement.
- They care what changed for users because of it
- Did onboarding get faster
- Did a real problem get solved
Money is a tool, not a milestone.
I’m opening up my calendar to meet extraordinary engineers with strong startup experience.
Currently partnering on several NYC and SF searches across:
→ Founding Engineering
→ AI / Product Engineering
→ Backend & Full-Stack
→ LLMs, agents, RAG & distributed systems
Up to $350K base + equity depending on the role.
You don’t need to be actively looking.
DM me or reach out at [email protected]
Would love to connect 😊
