Its time for the truth about Covid in Ireland:
Britain has initiated its Covid inquiry to establish its missteps and evaluate how decisions, whether good or bad, affected the population. Ireland, for obvious apparent reasons, has delayed such an inquiry. We endured the world's second-longest lockdown. It has now been unequivocally demonstrated that there was little to no difference between countries with prolonged lockdowns and those with minimal restrictions.
Forcing people to watch their elderly relatives perish through glass windows was not only futile but downright criminal. Arresting individuals for exceeding a 6km travel limit was both unacceptable and unnecessary.
Similarly, apprehending people for not wearing worn-out grubby masks bought from local garages was despicable. Peer-reviewed papers now affirm what many asserted—that these shabby masks made minimal or no difference.
Our PCR testing was encouraged, inflating the appearance of the virus's spread due to inaccurate and pointless tests that eventually became a money making racket for international travellers and holiday makers. We were told, for the first time in medical history, about cases of a "symptomless" virus or the word “asymptomatic” was invented to describe this off phenomena. In essence, individuals were instructed to stay home for 14 days to combat an illness they didn't have because they exhibited no symptoms.
Then came the job losses and business closures due to the protracted and purposeless lockdowns. A politician argued that if it saved one life, it would be worth it—an absurd notion, as the toll on mental health, lost businesses, and livelihoods cost more lives.
Figures on RTE of daily deaths from turned out to include deaths "with covid" and even those with positive tests within the last thirty days. In other words even if a loved one died of a heart attack or in a tragic car accident and their poor lifeless body tested positive for covid they became part of the statistics. Our national broadcaster essentially transformed into a local rural radio station, broadcasting death notices in an attempt to frighten the vulnerable.
The nation was under the control of NPHET, a group of overpaid so-called "experts" often basing decisions on flawed science. An egregious example was the nine-euro meal requirement, as if the amount spent in a pub on food affected the virus's infiltration.
One of the most repugnant moments of the two years was the appalling treatment of those opting not to get vaccinated. Regardless of one's stance on the COVID vaccine, the repulsive notion of vilifying and ostracizing a portion of society for their personal medical choices was revolting. Politicians and certain broadcasters labeled those making that choice as potential murderers, branding them the "unvaxed" as if they were societal lepers, similar to the treatment of the "far right" now. The implementation of vaccine passports for travel, dining, or pub visits was disgraceful, and all those involved should be utterly ashamed. Subsequently, it was proven ineffective, as the vaccines were never tested or proven to reduce the spread. The entire episode of defaming and discriminating against the unvaccinated was rooted in flawed science, yet no one has ever apologised for this shameful conduct that adversely affected countless lives.
As a broadcaster, I was labeled "anti-government" by Kinzen, paid by the state to monitor dissenting voices. I refused to align with the state's narrative, questioning the necessity of ongoing lockdowns and featuring scientists on my show who disagreed with NPHET. Some media figures became known for vilifying anyone challenging the state's view and were like goverment mouthpieces and almost got excited anouncing the restrictiosn and lockdowns and one two demading more restrictions ... you know who you are and you should hang your heads in shame.
The absurdity on RTE reached new heights with live broadcasts of scientists sewing masks and a hairstylist using a glass contraption for haircuts. Let's not forget the spectacle of two grown men in bubbles rolling around the studio.
Those who profited during the pandemic, from scientists to companies conducting testing and selling masks, should be exposed, along with the money they amassed. Many politicians were aware of the wrongdoing but allowed NPHET and NGOs to dictate population behaviour.
A comprehensive inquiry is necessary, holding accountable anyone responsible for reckless decisions and their consequences.
While my conscience is clear, I doubt the same can be said for most broadcasters and politicians and they should be exposed.
