@Rooster14981530 That's amazing, Rooster, & I obviously liked what u are posting, too! I've taken the last year off from posts here but have learned so much from people like u who are in the know over the last few months~thank u! Feeling ready to resume with my expanded way of thinking very soon!
Minimal salty flavors support our kidneys in the winter but not all salts are healthy. Processed table salt has been heated, destroying all minerals & trace elements, & it burdens our elimination systems & makes us retain fluids. I use & recommend Celtic & Himalayan sea salts.
Soups are so comforting and warming for our bodies, & winter squashes make them easy to prepare. Two of my favorites are kabocha & butternut, cooked with water or veggie broth. Add any seasonings you like & blend to creamy deliciousness!
All of the minerals found in the waters of our oceans are also found in sea vegetables. Because of their strength, a small amount is all you need each day. My favorites are kombu & wakame, which can be added to dishes while cooking, & dulse flakes can be sprinkled onto any food.
Beans are an ancient protein source that strengthen & support our kidneys (most are even shaped like the kidneys). Canned beans are easy & healthy~ just rinse until there is no foam. Look for brands with only beans & water, & add your own mineral-rich salt while cooking.
Happy winter & new year! This season is meant to be a time to rest more & rejuvenate, and it is the season of our kidneys & bladder. When these organs are balanced, we feel peace, creativity, security, & loyalty. It's the perfect time of year to recreate yourself and your life!
You must try #lotus#root! It has the texture of a water chestnut & is known for its ability to clear mucous & strengthen our lungs. During #autumn, you can find this #veggie at Asian grocers, or buy online in powder form to drink as tea.

You've maybe seen #daikon paired with sushi, but this medicinal #root#vegetable can be found at many natural grocers. It helps with digesting oils & proteins from fish & heavy meals, is a diuretic, decongestant, & a fat burner!

Let go with the leaves this #autumn:
- Take lots of deep #breaths to strengthen your #lungs.
- Get more #sleep, which is our ultimate #release.
- Work to #mend relationships important to you, while
creating boundaries from the ones causing repeated stress.
