He was 2 credits shy of a bachelor's degree in agriculture in 1971 when his dad died and he went home to run the family farm. They decided his 50 years of farming was qualification enough for those credits

@alicekeeler I worked at a non profit. Was Very Dismayed when I left that many of my projects that I designed (on my own time, want paid for prep time for classes) were now listed as "owned" by a co-worker. Luckily I backed everything up, but it was a mess.
