@SHistorians@Bky2K@Mike_Mikolaj@LouStagner It’s not weight, it’s pressure. Think of snow shoes that weigh nothing but allow a full grown fat boy like myself walk on deep snow without post-holing.
@SHistorians@Bky2K@Mike_Mikolaj@LouStagner The mower displaces its weight over a much larger surface area so the PSI is much lower. A 180lb man walking across a green causes more “damage”.
Similarly, a push cart has all of its weight on very small wheels, so the damage is greater than a mower.
@natereilly@iTweetTurf Too many variables for a response to have much value. What is sand cost? Acreage? Turf type, will it need sod? Sprigs? Seed? Water concerns with grow in allotments? Is it rocky soil which will dramatically affect irrigation installation and pipe recommendation.
@Calsuper I mean. Amiad or similar filters, but damn, you might need a booster station to get the rate you would need. That is brutal. ROI can probably be calculated by the time the staff spends cleaning heads out.
