"if you voted for trump, i hope that peace never finds you. instead, i hope clarity strikes you someday like a clap of lightning and you have to live the rest of your life with the knowledge and guilt of what you've done and who you are as a person." - ethel cain
NEW: We are suing Donald Trump.
This is a manufactured crisis. He is creating fear and terror to take over a state militia and violate the U.S. constitution.
The illegal order he signed could allow him to send the military into ANY STATE HE WISHES.
Every governor -- red or blue -- should reject this outrageous overreach.
There’s a lot of hyperbole out there. This isn’t that.
This is an unmistakable step toward authoritarianism that threatens the foundation of our republic.
We cannot let it stand.
“I feel it’s my responsibility, as an artist, to use this moment to speak up for all oppressed people. For Black people, for Latino people, for trans people, for the people in Gaza. We all deserve to live in hope and not fear.”

This is not a poem
This is a threat
To every empire built on bodies
Every border drawn in blood
Every cop with a badge and no soul
Fuck your flags
Fuck your ICE raids
Fuck your laws that cage children
Then sleep soundly in suits
You turned Gaza to a graveyard
Dropped bombs on babies
Called it defense
Then cried foul when the world woke up
Free Palestine
Free every caged body
Free every soul criminalized for surviving
Trump was never the disease
He was the symptom
The cancer lives in courtrooms and cages
In red-lined streets and blue-backed lies
In every hand that signs off on suffering
You burn books
But not the Bible that justified the burnings
You ban trans bodies
But not the guns killing our kids
You sell war
But not clean water in Flint
You protect the statue
But not the living
I am not asking
I am remembering
That the power has always been ours
Stolen, chained, rewritten
But never erased
I am a Black Latina trans woman
And I am not your scapegoat or your savior
I am not your fetish or your footnote
I am not disposable
I am divine
I speak for the girls who never made it home
The ones misgendered in death
The ones you erased while posting fake pride
There is no peace without justice
There is no middle ground in a genocide
There is no unity with our oppressors
You want respect
Start with reparations
You want silence
Bury me and watch what grows from the soil
This is not a poem
This is a warning
You cannot kill a future that refuses to bow
yea nah u can’t “mind your business” when it comes to fascism. the same cops attacking protestors, kill black ppl at traffic stops. the weapons used against palestinians are paid for by our taxes. it’s all connected, get outside
ppl who freak about retaliation to cops at these rallies need to attend one protest & they’ll quickly realize that the agitators are the armed dudes in riot gear tear gassing thousands of unarmed tax payers who are paying for the chemicals as well as their salaries & pensions
