We are the boarding house at Whangarei Boys' High School. Our goal is to develop boys into fine men to become productive members of society #BoardingSchool
Tuesday morning staff and student's said thank you to Miss Ivanka for all the hard work she has done over the last two months in our hostel Kitchen.
We really appreciate everything that you do for all of us.
You're a true asset to Carruth House and our boarding school whanau.
Happy School Holidays -
Just a reminder that WBHS is now having a teacher only day on Monday 20th July. Therefore Carruth House will reopen on Monday 20th at 3pm - Not on the Sunday.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
When you think about helping your son with his online learning during this lockdown remember that no one expects you to be a subject content expert or teacher. The most important thing you can do is to continue to provide comfort, support, and encouragement to your son.
Prep time is compulsory for all Carruth students. This is a great opportunity for our boy's to complete homework or go over the days learnings. Do the mahi, get the treats.
Carruth House students Archer Walton and Sean Alexander have been invited to Christchurch in July to compete for the title of FMG Junior Young Farmer of the Year, after coming second place at the Northern Regional Final. #InItToWinIt#FMGYFOTY2020#Carruth
Yesterday Carruth House turned 93.
We couldn't have been going this long without the support of the Carruth Old Boys Association.
A big thank you to our old boys and everyone else that has supported Carruth House over the 93 years
Check it out everyone!
Jesse is our first Man of the week for 2020. Jesse received this certificate for his kind and caring nature towards helping his peers in Carruth House.
Well done Jesse, keep being awesome mate.
Good Afternoon Carruth whanau and friends!!
Our Yr. 9 Boarders have arrived and they have all settled in well.
Second day of High School nearly done and dusted ✔️
It's all go here in Carruth House, looking forward to the rest of our students arriving this Sunday :)
Tēnā koutou - I am extremely proud and excited to be the new Director of Boarding at Carruth House. I am excited to work in an environment where our students feel safe, happy and are supported in every way to be themselves.
