Though online/for profit #universities are becoming more respected by employers, and their graduates more marketable, for Army #Leaders to use the false claim that these degrees are equivalent to a Baylor Degree Program (to increase retention) is not true and masturbatory.
The #ARMY demands #NCOs complete #Bachelors and #Masters Degrees to remain competitive for #promotion, and even pays for #tuition. This incentivizes quick/easy online degrees that provide little to no value to the Army or #Soldier, and are not indicative of promotion potential.
With the #VA#Budget quadrupling to $220 Billion since the beginning of the #GWOT, mirroring increases in national healthcare/drug costs, and mental health/#PTSD diagnoses, maybe it’s time the #FDA and #Military look at allowing/funding #Psilocybin, #Marijuana, #Ayuhuasca & #DMT.
Army leaders have got to do a better job at protecting Soldier’s time. Intelligently designed and executed systems, and prioritizing healthy work/life balance is an investment with immediate and long term payouts to leaders, the Army as an institution, and the taxpayers. #Army
Disrespecting, discouraging, or minimizing family time to fulfill mostly contrived requirements, poorly designed schedules, and pointless busy work degrades service member ability to fulfill the most sacred duties of family (or even self).

Don’t dilute the the phrases “Attention to detail,” & “Take care of your buddy” by using them to justify lazy or low quality training. Smoking the doors off your squad/platoon b/c someone forgot a layout item isn’t a long term solution, and the benefits are anecdotal at best.
It’s crucial for military personnel to understand that an inherent responsibility of serving is to do your best to understand and advocate for ethical deployment and use of American troops. The question must always be asked, “Is the mission worthy of our sacrifice?” #GWOT
