@markalsip57@JWMediaDC The Memphis admin may agree with you. They saw the Big 12 as their best fit last summer. The Big 12 rejected Memphis over concerns Memphis wasn't additive to the Big 12 media deal. To add Memphis the remaining ACC schools would need to view the ACC as worse off than 2025 Big 12.
@JWMediaDC Boise Stateβs football ratings and decades on competitive teams seems to raise the bar more in the sport that matters most. However, I agree the commissioner seems to value basketball, which put Boise State way behind UConn.
@stateofbruins USF is making big investments in their athletic dept, NIL, & rev sharing. Belmont is massively outspent by USF. Their leadership has ACC ambitions. Iβm not saying they make it. Has Belmont leadership even shown they have A-10 or perennial MVC champ ambitions?
@Nathan_26_ The Big East is what SLU and Dayton want, but there has not been much smoke around Big East expansion. Pitrino pushed for expansion without much public support. It seems like the Big East is taking a wait and see approach with what the ACC/B12 do next.
@StatisticUrban MT - I hope @jontester considers running for senate in 2026. Jon is such a strong candidate. He could win in a non-presidential year.
AK - @MaryPeltola could run in 2026 for senate, house or governor.
@LIEngProf Gillum turned out 4 million voters, & lost to DeSantis by 0.4% (33,000 votes). Bill Nelson, moderate Dem, lost to Rick Scott by 0.2% (10,000 votes). In 2022, Charlie Christ, former Republican/moderate Dem, turned out 3 million voters and lost by 19.4% (1.5 million votes).
@MikeHerndonNFL Abdul Carter and Ashton Jeanty might be more talented than Hunter. I am not convinced Hunter will dominate in the NFL. Carter and Jeanty seem like their games will instantly translate at a high level.
