Not that anyone asked for it but a piece of advice for younger designers is to optimize your work on your website! Make sure your portfolio loads fast. An informal thread on methods to have your website look the best it can:

If an editor/recruiter sees your website isn't loading fast, they could potentially assume you don't know much about web optimization. More importantly, If you only have a few seconds to make an impression you want to make sure your work is actually seen.
