BREAKING — The International Olympic Committee has made it official that USA’s Jordan Chiles must return the Bronze medal from Floor Exercise and it will be awarded to Ana Barbosu of Romania. This follows a ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport and a recertification of the results by the International Gymnastics Federation.

@fawyndra I entirely disagree with this idea but I wonder if it’s to avoid devastating feelings like Barbosu’s seeing herself move out of a medal position. But I don’t think that’s fair to the athlete who has no control over being last. I don’t know if there’s a good way to deal with it 🤷🏻‍♀️
