@A1Bodey@Laura15Edwards @Sra_DJGC @ferrisisdjh I’ve found my facilitation is lost to tech trouble shooting and apathy of students to engage in the conversation.
@starrscience@NGSS_tweeps@ASTbigideas From a vertical perspective as a teacher I pick several activities that represent the whole unit. The sum of the row should move us towards the DQ for a learning sequence within that unit. I usually pick 4 driving questions for my unit.
@thephysicsgirl I don’t have another emotion for this than the heart, I love your work, I hate that getting likes requires us to do tag lines like that. Keep up the amazing work!
@ngssfresno I think I’m going to make outputs based on the weeks learning sequence / theme, and dedicate a section of a two page spread of the notebook to each day that I’ll model in class / on a whiteboard / on a doc cam. Then the conclusion or the explanation piece will be due Monday
@ngssfresno @ElemSciTchr I think the hard part is balancing time, ability to grade, and access. I am going to try to get to that level of an output, but will start with whiteboard explanations from students I think
@ngssfresno @lisa_bastedo @NGSS_tweeps I would start with having kids make storyboards of simple lab procedures. Next I would start by researching infographics / pamphlets, I’d check out Mike Rhodes sketchnoting, And I’d watch some verbal to visual.
