Learning about cognitive coaching from @JaneKise at the @1stEdResources Coaching Summit and thinking about how I want to switch coaching modes with different colleagues and at different times, and also my personal leanings as a person. Polarities! I want to get my brain mapped.
Sometimes you just need a little extra support. I feel you, zucchini.
(Transplanting seedlings into our Tower Garden with a sixth grader was a restorative way to end a week of state testing.)
Looking forward to experiencing & developing more virtual professional learning communities. We can increase access to teacher learning and diversify our teacher communities by using remote platforms strategically. Great to learn from @TinaCardone and @CristinaHeff at #NCTMINDY22
Sometimes I just need to get up and do math on a Friday morning. Thanks to @EulersNephew for his thought-provoking introduction to math teachers’ circles! I’m wanting some Renaissance dance music in the background. @rly
As an educator, I’m energized to examine my practices through my “why’s” for the work. As a coach-advocate for students and teachers, I need to learn more about my colleagues’ “why’s”. A great opportunity for reflection at @ilana_horn and @graceachen’s presentation. #NCTMINDY22
Considering how I hinder “knowledge mobility” when I direct students to stay in team zones. I see students get annoyed with each other for “stealing” their ideas. Appreciate hearing @pgliljedahl present after working with #thinkingclassroom ideas for a while! #NCTMINDY22
Was going to tweet about @mslailanur’s powerful process for making shifts that matter for me—as my personhood impacts my professionhood—then stopped…because my shift is to pay more attention in the moment. No tweeting while listening! #NCTMINDY22
