@cryptaxpt With lawyers, the question you ask matters as much as the answer. If the majority of their clients wants to cash out airdrop profits immediately without a 28% tax, the lawyers are incentivised to achieve just that. If clients were ready to wait a year, the opinion could change
@cryptaxpt - You mentioned "donated" tokens wouldn't be included in capital gains. Would the sale then not be reported in Modelo 3? Were there any known cases where Finanças accepted such an explanation as to why someone didn't mention a crypto-to-fiat transaction on their tax return?
@cryptaxpt Some follow-up questions then:
- What value is used for calculating the 10% tax? Is it the EUR value of tokens at the time of receipt? Some airdropped tokens take a plunge after distribution. One could receive 1000 EUR worth, hold and see the worth go down to 500 EUR in minutes

@cryptaxpt Thank you. That's an interesting take.
What if one sells NFT and holds the resulting crypto while it increases/decreases in value? Does that have to be declared?
For example NFTs were sold for ETH when it was worth 5k+ euros, then ETH to fiat at 3k+ per ETH
@cryptaxpt But why?
We assume that NFTs aren't taxed because they are excluded from the definition of crypto assets. When you exchange NFTs for, say, ETH you receive an asset included in the definition. Then you exchange that ETH to euros - doesn't it imply reporting?
Just curious

@mrseanvvv @ZssBecker "I don't think there's a downside to shifting part of that free money to the people who appreciate your work the most" - you just described a Ponzi scheme with extra steps. The downside is that it's illegal
@cryptogorilla Did you figure out how to get in the private group? Only 8 people will be whitelisted for solving the 8 special riddles. Does it mean that the first person solving each riddle will be whitelisted or the first 8 to solve all of them?
@cryptaxpt You just have to understand - they are as afraid of a new world war as the West, if not more. They play tough but then pretend like they didn't mean it every time a new "red line" is crossed. Those are empty threats
@cryptaxpt I think so. Russia announced dozens of "red lines" in the past. It threatened the West with retaliation for providing intelligence to UKR, then weapons, then tanks, then fighter jets, then for UKR attacks on Russian soil, now western missiles heating Russia. Nothing ever happens
@cryptaxpt I see your point but we are no closer to WW3 than we were a year or two ago. The countries you mentioned above have been preparing for a conflict with Russia for the last couple of years and airstrikes on Kyiv are pretty regular.
Nothing new except sensationalist headlines
