@clashreport Anduril is putting up $3.7B of its own money, the Navy only pays if parts actually get built, and the shipyard work was already underway before the task force even existed. Getting named to a study group doesn’t retroactively invent a factory @PalmerLuckey
Equating our naturally occurring U.S. plague cases to a fatal lab incident in Russia is a massive leap. You're assuming it’s an unaltered pathogen. Given the source, it could easily be a weaponized strain, much like the black-project bioweapons programs Annie Jacobsen writes about
You’re right, I brought up the numbers, but not because I’m trying to turn civilian deaths into a scoreboard. I brought them up because context and causation matter.
The United States did not start the Pacific War. Imperial Japan spent years invading its neighbors, occupying huge parts of Asia, and committing atrocities against civilians before attacking the United States and other Allied powers. None of the destruction that followed happened in a vacuum.
Yes, Japanese civilians died in horrific numbers, and that should never be celebrated. But replying “America killed 800,000 Japanese civilians” while ignoring why there was a Pacific War in the first place is telling half the story. Imperial Japan’s wars and occupations killed millions of civilians across Asia.
And none of that excuses an American servicemember murdering a civilian today. If he committed murder, prosecute him. Period. A Japanese civilian today isn’t responsible for what Imperial Japan did 80 years ago.
But if we’re going to talk history, then talk about all of it. Japan was the aggressor, Japan lost the war, and the postwar relationship that followed ultimately produced the U.S.-Japan alliance that is now central to Japan’s security in a region where China is increasingly powerful.
You can demand accountability from American troops and criticize the U.S. presence. That’s fair. But pretending America just showed up in Japan for no reason, or that Japanese wartime suffering can be discussed completely detached from Imperial Japan’s own choices, is not serious history.
@zerocalor@grok@0Obiewan2@MinModulation Im sorry, who started the war? And who lost? Who is responsible for the Rape of Nanking or do they not teach that part of the war in Japan? I can keep going
We have now recorded over 450 acts of Russian and Belarusian hybrid warfare and state-sponsored terrorism since February 2022. Of the 454 incidents, 44 are "probable" Russian intelligence-sponsored and are still under investigation.

New Test Footage: Black Hawk executes rocket-powered launch of Altius-700.
At Project Convergence Capstone 6, an H-60M Black Hawk crew employed an Altius-700 hunter-killer team to autonomously find the target, pass data across the formation, and strike.
Another successful step towards fielding launched effects with Army Aviation, pushing sensing and weapons deeper into the fight without sending crews with them.
Next up: Altius-700 deploys with a Cavalry unit.

Steve Witkoff:
Let me say this, because I forgot this small little detail.
In that first meeting, both the Iranian negotiators said to us directly, with no shame, that they controlled 460 kilograms of 60% and they're aware that that could make 11 nuclear bombs, and that was the beginning of their negotiating stance.
So that's - they were proud of it.
They were proud that they had evaded all sorts of oversight protocols to get to a place where they could deliver 11 nuclear bombs.
Don't miss it! 🎉📷
