Comment what HIDDEN messages you find…
I created this mostly for my boys…but also for you.
FUN FACT: There are a LOT of visual metaphors throughout the video - show me what meanings YOU see.
I’m sure nobody will find them all, but what’s more important is what lands for you… Each person will see something different.
This might not be the best video in the world - it’s my first attempt at anything like this.
But I did every bit of it by hand, no AI… and no prior skills.
Just a vision, and movement in the right direction.
Creating this meant a lot to me, and I hope it means something to some of you too.
Most growth comes when times are tough...
Same thing with forward progress.
A very real world example hit me a couple of days ago when I was optimizing an ML trading algorithm - I got most of my improvements by improving how the system behaved when the markets were bad.
We're no different. The physics of our lives and the physics of the trading system all behave the same:
The bad times are the low hanging fruit for making things better.
Let that sink in if life is punching you in the face a bit right now....
Get up, dust yourself off, and keep moving forward.

5 Books to help you Find Your Purpose.
1. Discover Your Destiny by Robin Sharma. This is the sequel to The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. I love these books simply because wisdom is packaged up in story, making it super digestible for your mind.
2. The Meaning of Your Life by Arthur Brooks. This book is a very logical exploration, which will likely appeal to many in tech.
3. What's The Point by Tom Rath. I feel like this kind of helps the left brain have some structure to explore the right brain side of things... I don't believe you can find purpose with logic and reason, but you can use logic and reason to help you tap into the intuitive feeling to find your purpose.
4. The Courage to be Disliked by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga. I ***LOVE*** the dialogue format, between a Philosopher and a Youth. Something about the conversational nature allows you to just get absorbed into the content and identify with both sides. Plus it breaches a lot of very important topics - helping remove many barriers that get in the way for most.
Finally...
5. Mastery by Robert Greene. This is a tome, and I don't recommend trying to read it straight through in one sitting. Just like all his books, they're dense with wisdom - and needs some space for you to process it all. Read chapters like individual books, give them space, and give yourself time to absorb it all.
Most importantly with this last book, Mastery, Robert Greene makes it readily apparent that purpose can come through hard work - it doesn't always fly effortlessly into your lap with butterfly wings - sometimes life can even hit you in the face with it before you realize that what knocked you sideways was actually "your purpose" ;)
This is why you Self Sabotage...
Why it's hard to make up your mind...
Why you struggle with sticking to your goals...
Why you feel so mentally fatigued trying to get through the day...
And how to fix it.
