This morning I called James and congratulated him on becoming the Senate nominee. Texas is primed to turn blue and we must remain united because this is bigger than any one person. This is about the future of all 30 million Texans and getting America back on track. With the primary behind us, Democrats must rally around our nominees and win. I’m committed to doing my part and will continue working to elect democrats up and down the ballot.
.@JamesTalarico: The only minority destroying America is the billionaires. Trans people are 1% of the population. Muslims are 1% of the population. Undocumented people are 1% of the population. We are focused on the wrong 1%.
Trans people aren't taking away our healthcare. Muslims aren't defunding our schools. Immigrants aren't cutting taxes for themselves and their rich friends. It’s the billionaires and their puppet politicians.
The culture wars are a smokescreen. They want us looking left and right at our neighbors instead of looking up at them. The biggest divide in our politics is not left versus right, it’s top versus bottom.
A 13-year-old at the Grand Rapids, MI, council meeting passionately calls for accountability in the death of Patrick Lyoya, who was shot by police. In stark contrast, in America, we see students standing up for justice in ways that often surpass those of adults. #DemsUnited
Maria Shriver obviously comes from a very political family and has supported candidates for office, like her now-former husband Arnold Schwarzenegger and Barack Obama, but for the most part she has always chosen to focus on storytelling and journalism.
She has clearly hit her limit and has just posted this video about President Trump’s post and comment about Rob Reiner.
Ahmed al Ahmed, a Muslim father of two, risked his life to disarm a murderer who was shooting down Jews celebrating Hanukkah in Sydney.
Religion must not divide our common humanity.
We must stand together and end antisemitism, Islamophobia and all hate — no exceptions.
Elon Musk’s ten-year $1 trillion pay package is worth more than the combined pay of:
Every elementary school teacher in America.
Every cashier in America.
Every restaurant cook in America.
Every farmworker in America.
Every bartender in America.
Insanity. Billionaire tax now.
@SenBillCassidy You did this. This is all your fault. You will live with the consequences of your actions forever — and unfortunately, so will all Americans.
@60Minutes Harvard's $53 billion endowment supports operations but is largely restricted for specific purposes, making federal grants vital for competitive, high-risk basic research that private donors often overlook in favor of applied projects.
