Stop hooting at learner drivers.

This driver suddenly decided to make a turn without a signal.

I had to slow down immediately which made the driver behind me hoot heavily.
The learner panicked and hit the brakes stopping right on the tarmac.

That's exactly the problem.
Constantly hooting at learner drivers especially from a big vehicle like a lorry doesn't help.
You make the learner panick and is likely to brake suddenly, accelerate unexpectedly, or make a dangerous turn, which can lead to an accident.

The L sign is there for a reason.
Be patient.
Give them extra space & drive defensively around them
Remember they're still learning & every experienced driver was once a learner.

Aggression isn't the way to welcome them to our roads.
Be kind.
