@GovPressOffice His behavior would never be tolerated in any workplace. In fact, he would never be hired, as a convicted rapist. Why does America tolerate him and anyone who supports this horrid behavior?
Donald Trump does not just excuse political violence. He celebrates it when it serves him.
When Robert Mueller died, Trump posted: “Good, I’m glad he’s dead.”
When Rob Reiner was brutally murdered, Trump said: “I bet he died because he had Trump derangement syndrome.”
After Paul Pelosi was hit in the head with a hammer, Trump mocked the attack: “The wall around their house didn’t work so well, did it?”
In 2023, he suggested General Mark Milley’s actions were so treasonous they should be punishable by death.
He posted an image of himself holding a baseball bat, ready to bludgeon NYC DA Alvin Bragg.
He has branded Democrats and former allies as guilty of “treason” and suggested they “could be put to death.”
And on January 6, while police were being beaten and his mob chanted “hang Mike Pence,” Trump watched for 187 minutes.
This is not politics as usual. This is a monster.
🚨BREAKING: Donald Trump is getting mocked after video shows him walking away without even closing his own umbrella before boarding the plane.
This is a man who’s had everything handed to him his entire life. Never worked a real job.
Pure entitlement.
Correct. They are the direct dumpers. However, as a Canadian champion, stakes winner, with a race named after her, she should never have been dumped at age 16 by her owner/breeder.
And the farm owner reported to my friend, a bloodstock agent, that Mr. Speaker was sold as of March 12. How he went from sold to dead in two weeks makes me wonder.
Another clear example of such a disjointed- really sad fate of broodmares- even Ginger Brew found herself in a kill pen - I agree w Margaret here- she’s safe - she was famous - how bout all the other old broodmares discarded? That weren’t famous ? They won’t be as lucky .
The United States president and Commander in Chief is telling us that the Democratic Party is more of a threat than Russia, China, and foreign and domestic terrorists. He should be impeached and removed from office over this. He is not fit to serve…
"There is a particular absurdity to Donald Trump—a man who avoided Vietnam due to “bone spurs”—dancing on the grave of Robert Mueller, a decorated combat veteran." @TheAtlantic
Labeling every American of the opposition political party as an enemy to the country may be the most un-American thing any president has ever said. Dangerous.
9yo MGSW $770k Masteroffoxhounds is in for $15k at FG on 3/9. I helped raise him/had him in my barn as an assistant. I’ve been keeping tabs on him and have offered unsuccessfully help to his connections when he’s ready to retire. I am happy to contribute however I can.
New personnel records indicate that Trump's VA has eliminated thousands of medical positions.
The cuts include 1,500 doctors and 4,900 nurses, and come as over 80% of medical centers report a "severe" shortage of doctors and nurses.
🚨 The Shadai Race Horse Company, which owns Masquerade Ball and Jantar Mantar, has confirmed that neither horse will travel from Japan to the Dubai World Cup meeting, citing the uncertainty surrounding the conflict in Iran and across the Middle East. https://t.co/F1yl6uWtHR
Rubio pleaded with news orgs to put the help Line number out for Americans stuck in the Middle East… but when you call the number it tells you you’re on your own
The Trump regime, folks
This is why we can't have nice things...and why 99 percent of HRT sucks for putting this guy through the ringer. What exactly is @lmgriffjohnson apologizing for? Adoring his horse? Falling in love with horse racing? Using his platform to promote our sport? Believing in his horse's ability? Pro tip: find someone who loves you as much as Griffin loves Sandman.
Griffin Johnson...you and Sandman owe us nothing. In fact, we OWE you something. THANK YOU for sharing your journey with Sandman, for making racing fun and accessible and mainstream; and for being open, honest, and transparent about our sport: warts and all!
@seymore_andy@DailyRacingForm@DRFHegarty What's political about reporting on the real challenges of planning a trip to Meydan during this current state of affairs? What is untrue about anything in this article?
🚨BREAKING: A clip of Donald Trump from 2024 is going mega viral: “I can tell you you’re not going to have a war with Iran with me as president.”
Truly curious if any MAGA voters are willing to admit they were played.
Howbeit Retirement Update:
As I posted earlier today, Grade 2 stakes winner Howbeit has been retired from racing after being scratched from a $4000 claimer at Los Alamitos on Saturday. He is being shipped tomorrow from Los Alamitos to NextStar Ranch in Temecula where he will be starting the transition from racehorse to the next chapter of his life under the eyes of Dave Showalter and Summer Smith. We will leave it up to the horse to decide if he wants to continue on as a sport or show horse or simply adapt to a life of leisure in the Bluegrass.
Special thanks to owner Ronny Chaffee who was extraordinarily supportive of our efforts to retire the horse. Also, kudos to his trainer, Jose Hernandez, Jr., and our trainer, O.J. Jauregui, who helped coordinate the deal and logistics.
Howbeit is a 9-year-old gelding who raced from 2019 to 2026. He was sired by Secret Circle out of the El Corredor mare Emerlaude. He was bred in Kentucky by the University of Kentucky and sold for $15,000 at FTKOCT 2018. He was a $30,000 RNA at OBSAP:R 2019.
Howbeit broke his maiden at Del Mar in August 2019. After a SOC win at Santa Anita, he ran third in the Grade 3 Laz Barrera Stakes. He knocked around the mid-level claiming ranks through 2020, but resurged in 2021 running respectably in some of the toughest sprint stakes on the West Coast.
2022 proved to be Howbeit’s most accomplished year as he took down the Grade 2 Santa Anita Sprint Championship over CZ Rocket.
After a grueling 2024 campaign against top stakes company, he was shipped to Churchill Downs and then Gulfstream and Tampa Bay. His form fell off and he was shipped back west to Turf Paradise where he picked up two additional AOC victories, but he was subsequently exiled to Wyoming Downs, Sweetwater, and Arapahoe Park, only to return to Turf Paradise and then back to Santa Anita’s lowest rung.
Howbeit got his last win at Los Alamitos in July 2025 running for $6250 and should have won again but for being forced extremely wide at Los Al in December. He ran his final race at Santa Ania on January 19, 2026, for a $10,000 tag, and finished a very troubled 5th, trying as hard as he could, as per usual.
Howbeit ended up starting 59 times, winning 14, and was in the money in 28 of his races with earrings of $528,816.
To those of you who pointed out that every racehorse deserves a good home no matter how illustrious their career was, I wholeheartedly agree. If we could save them all, we would. We are left doing what we can, and we found special meaning in retiring this guy, whose career we have followed closely, and who was known for his humble beginnings, excruciating highs and lows, and his determination to give every race his absolute best effort.
We hope Howbeit’s retirement will motivate others in the game to come together as trainers, owners, and after-care experts, in targeting horses approaching the end of their racing careers, to make sure they get a head start into their second lives. I can’t tell you how rewarding it is to be part of something like this. Thanks again to everyone involved.
