The Meta VR Glasses has face tracking!

The downward facing cameras doesn't only track your hands but also your lower face. Together with eye tracking, that will power Hologram, Meta's new Codec Avatars. Found this watching @nchan's hands-on (great video)

The Quest Pro already did face tracking 4 years ago. It was so far ahead of its time. Here's what that looked like.

Just to be clear, don’t mistake Meta VR Glasses for Quest 4.

Based on previous leaks, Quest 4, codenamed Griffin, is still in development, possibly arriving next year, with a major upgrade in performance and a focus on immersive gaming.

I tried Meta's new VR glasses and they weigh about 100 grams 🤯

Things to know:
• 5K micro-OLED, custom pancake lenses
* XR2 Gen 3 in a separate puck, 12/128GB with expandable MicroSD slot up to 1TB
• full Quest library if you connect the Touch Controllers
• new hand-tracked games at launch
• it’s a portable entertainment device
• with the ability to spawn a multi-screen productivity workspace using USBC DP
• Muse AI integration

Smaller FOV (84° D) than Quest 3, but the sharpest display Meta has made.
