@alistaircoleman So sorry to hear this Alistair. Deepest condolences to you and your family.

“What the word needs now is love, sweet love…” and the inspiring music of Burt Bacharach. So many fantastic songs. So many hits. Here’s my musical tribute to the genius composer and songwriter who died this week aged 94. #BurtBacharach

@CarlBovisNature What a gorgeous thread! Here’s #MyChristmasTree 🎄✨

[Cassandra Cavallaro @cascav]

It has been Quite A Week. So proud of our @SKAO Comms team for the mega-effort on our biggest ever event/campaign combo. Helping to make this little film was my highlight. The thread below it hopefully gives you a flavour of what’s been going on!

Please don't turn your lawn into plastic. Plastic grass reduces food & shelter for wildlife such as bees & butterflies; has a high carbon footprint; sheds micro-plastics which wash into our rivers and seas. Create a wildlife-friendly space instead. More https://t.co/Ha52d0dbdc 🐝

@LeeKumutat @mrjonkelly I was here for work but now on hols! Between the food and the weather, I think maybe I’ll stay 😉.

[Cassandra Cavallaro @cascav]

Beautiful as ever from ⁦@mrjonkelly⁩ and team. I’m currently half the world away in Australia but this brought it all home.

When you’re 14,000km from home but there’s @YorkshireTea in the office kitchen 🫖. What a relief! Lovely warm welcome from our @SKAO colleagues in Perth 🇦🇺. Thankfully no welcome from the car park snakes (so far).

An antidote to the flood of bad news lately - thanks to dedicated conservation efforts the kakapo of New Zealand now number 252. Well done chunky parrots! Keep going.

[Dr Andrew Digby @takapodigs]

Not everything since 2016 has been bad: the #kakapo population has grown by 100% since then! 252 are alive today. #kakapo2022 #conservation Pic: Deidre Vercoe

By any measure, killing Freya was absolutely the wrong decision by Norway. https://t.co/ZDsOEs1yi2

@JackieLeonard01 Florence hopes that Ted feels better soon 🌸

[Dr Andrew Digby @takapodigs]

It’s a record! Today the #kakapo population reached 216 - the highest in living memory. The previous maximum was 213 in 2019. The population will keep growing for the next few weeks as this year’s chicks reach juvenile age. #kakapo2022 #conservation #parrots

Looking forward to speaking at #PARI2022 next week @SKAO HQ, perfectly timed to coincide with the fleeting British summer ☀️. One workshop on making videos, and a talk on producing our magazine, Contact. Virtual participation is welcome! https://t.co/7CmYNQBAaw

Happy #Caturday from Florence, who was looked after by the lovely people at @The_Blue_Cross before finding her home with me a few months ago. Florence is 9 and likes cuddles, chatting, and being fluffy. Her très chic collar helps the birds to see her, just in case. #CatsOfTwitter

Wowwww @AndreaBocelli was sensational at the #PlatinumJubilee concert. Nessun Dorma in front of the palace, warms my Britalian heart 🇬🇧🇮🇹. Highlight of the night.
