From taking the stage at Arthur Ashe Stadium to filling the courtyard with the unmatched energy and joyful flair that only M3 can deliver, yesterday was a celebration of Morgan excellence and HBCU pride.

President David K. Wilson also joined the excitement, performing the ceremonial coin toss to kick off the action.

The US Open got a little taste of HBCU homecoming.

Taylor Townsend hit the court at the US Open in a custom tennis look inspired by HBCU marching band and majorette culture. The fit deserves a round of applause but the HBCU pride didn’t stop at the baseline.

The 6th annual HBCU Live brought the culture to Queens, NY with Morgan State’s Magnificent Marching Machine taking over the grounds, HBCU DJs on the ones and twos and alumni and supporters repping their schools throughout the day.

Center court looked a lot like the Yard, and we love to see it.
