Events are an industry, and a disproportionately large number of people who work in that industry are self-employed or contract based. That means they don't get unemployment insurance if the work goes away. #CancelEverything, but we need accommodations for these people.

I really wish the last restaurant I worked at had done this. Instead, I had to endure a year plus of verbal abuse and harassment. Kudos for doing what’s right and protecting your cooks (as all restaurateurs should).

Storytime! We hired a dude to cdc Swan, he interviewed SO WELL, said all the right things honestly seemed PERFECT. It started ~ok~. We could tell he wasn’t gelling with the staff—there were some red flags over a couple weeks but nothing rly fireable, just weird vibes.
