Excited to announce I will be returning to school at @SetonHall this Fall 💙 I will be pursuing my PhD in Health Sciences with a Health Professions Leadership concentration
A million thanks to the @AstonPD who graciously assisted me this morning out of the snow. An officer helped get my car up a snowy hill while another ran behind to give me my car mats after we used them for traction.
Thank you to Patrick Esmonde, Public Member at Large for the @APTA_official Board of Directors, for presenting me with a “challenge coin.” Patrick and I shared a flight back from APTA CSM where I ended up assisting with a medical emergency. The PT world is a small one!
As @APTAcvp marks 50 years, it’s the perfect time to recognize the critical role Board-Certified Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Physical Therapists play in treating and managing heart conditions.
👏 Join us in celebrating their impact! #HeartHealth#PhysicalTherapy#CardiacCare
Had to assist with a medical emergency on my @united flight last night. Equipment needs to be updated and checked more consistently to assist in these situations. Portable oxygen? Wouldn’t turn on. Pulse ox? No batteries.
Another great @APTA_official CSM in Houston! Thank you to @AcadPedPT for allowing my colleagues and I to present our poster “Safety of Lymphatic Management in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit: A Case Report.”
Margie Roos, PT, PhD, sadly passed away on Thursday. She was Professor and Acting Chair of @saintjosephs Physical Therapy. Margie specialized in clinical work focused on individuals with neurological dysfunction from spinal cord injuries to stroke.
I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Part-time Assistant Professor at @NeumannUniv ! Here, I will be a member of the core DPT faculty and be responsible for the cardiopulmonary and exercise physiology content. I look forward to this next adventure in academia!
Mary McMillan is the mother of physical therapy and pioneered the profession we now know today.

***Tag or drop the name of any innovative women PTs in acute care you see as a leader or pioneer - we would love to highlight them this month!
Tonight included drafting my first webinar, starting a case report for a major PT journal, and dealing with a sick, clingy 9-month old who only wants Mama 😴
