Does anyone have any recs for braided essays about friendship that weave in research of some kind? Or can be about relationships in general. (If you’ve written one, please share.) Thanks!
My new book _I Do Know Some Things_ comes out in Fall 2024. It is 77 prose poems about what I can remember about my life. It is autobiographical. A backstage pass. The true story about the death of the boyfriend in Crush will be published online this August 1st in Pithead Chapel.
@Rebb003 I haven’t read this book in a while, but I remember Maya Angelou’s Wouldn’t Take Nothing For My Journey Now to have this kind of combo. Just very small essays that give advice on fashion, sensuality, living well, etc. while also weaving in her own stories abt each topic.
Submissions are officially open again and we're stoked to read what yinz send us! Send your work by August 31 to have it considered for Issue 21 (fall/winter 2023). https://t.co/OOd038JxZM
This proposal would have helped me pay off my car debt. This proposal would have given me more time and space to find a job after I finish grad school. This proposal would have helped me save for a nice apartment. And I’m an extremely privileged person. Fuck this.
In a 6-to-3 decision, the Supreme Court’s conservative supermajority struck down a proposal to cancel at least some student debt for tens of millions of borrowers. Here's what to know. https://t.co/gnKsb0Ei1u
@mzschmelzer A girl from my high school got her business going by starting it as side hobby. You could tell people if they ever need a wedding planner to hit you up for a reduced price and then do just one and see if you like it lol
I watched And Just Like That and it’s really something when a show that could’ve avoided going off the rails comes out of retirement to go off the rails. meanwhile MPK is over here acting like it’s the great American novel and I can’t stop watching due to personal problems
Discovered Max is not accessible in Italy. Which means I cannot watch s2 of #AndJustLikeThat. How am I supposed to appreciate high culture and low culture while abroad? 😫
This past semester I took a novel writing class. Our prof brought in a guest speaker who has a book coming out about a Russian family living in isolation in the Siberian wilderness. This is her debut novel. Will she have to pull it too?
@Rebb003@ambernoelle This also happened to me for YEARS and no doctor could figure out why and then I got on an SSRI last May and poof! Tummy problems solved!
Going to be traveling for 30 hours to get to Europe tomorrow (I live in the middle of nowhere so have to drive quite far to an airport and then have two layovers) and I’m v anxious about sleeping because I’m horrible at sleeping on planes! Send me good vibes pls!
