@_katechavez@BarnellNicole@Duncannedd Hi, Kate. I agree. Especially since I'm taking this course virtually, it was cool to realize there is a whole community participating as well!
Thank you to everyone and all sections of #EDTE4200 for participating in, contributing to, and sharing our Spring 2022 Twitter Chat! We hope you enjoyed the collaboration!
Please feel free to continue collaborating and following leaders in education.

A4) As a teacher of high school ELA and History, there are so many creative ways to use technology. Definitely creating presentations and displaying research, finding interactive virtual museum exhibits, and much more! #CSUBTed#csubedte4200@BarnellNicole
@Marisol30764871@Ststansberry Hi, Marisol- free courses are a great idea! Some people don't even know where to start with tech. It can be really overwhelming and having a resource to help with the learning curve could be huge.
@KarinaC3445 @doctor2pi Hi, Karina. You're so right!! The district I work at right now provides all the students a school issued iPad and it makes a huge difference in access. If we're going to require it, we should provide it.
Part 2: Challenges can be related to physically accessing technology (reliable internet, safe space to keep device, charger at home, etc.) they can also be tech literacy challenges (not know how to get to or use the websites and activities). @BarnellNicole#CSUBted#csubedte4200
A3) Part one: If we're going to use technology in the classroom, we need to make sure all students have access to it. Schools need to provide every student with devices and education on how to use those devices. @BarnellNicole#CSUBted#csubedte4200
A2) I think YouTube is one of the most versatile apps out there! They often have captions that you can turn on and in many cases you can find videos on a certain topic in a variety of languages.

@NoelPin50039143@BarnellNicole Hi, Noel! Nice to meet you. I also hope to teach social studies in the future, specifically I'd love to teach U.S. History and Gov. Hope you have a great semester!
@SClendenning @tom_karnes Hi, Sabrina. Great point about how tech gives us more data! We can use that to refine what and how we're teaching so that we can build content that students connect to. Thanks for sharing. 😀
@Lizzfedez Hi, Lizbeth! Nice to meet you. Congrats on your last year of college. Very exciting. Best of luck this semester and as you take on post grad life. 😀
@jalonso111@doctor2pi@DrEddiesClass Hi, Jalonso! I wonder if that's the same as Grade Guardian? It's a tool we have at my school to check student grades. Sounds cool, thanks for sharing!
A1) Technology is a tool! It can be used to make planning and teaching more efficient and interactive, which gives us more time to connect with students. @BarnellNicole#CSUBTED#csubedte4200
Hi, I'm Casey! I graduated in 2018 with a B.S. in Child Development from Fresno State. I'm hoping to teach secondary History and ELA. Currently I work in student technology at a high school in Bend, OR. 😀 #csubedte4200#edtechchat@BarnellNicole
Effectively using technology as educators empowers us to guide students as they learn to use it in the classroom and participate in our increasingly digital world. #csubedte4200#csubted
