Thank you to my Congresswoman, @EleanorNorton, for always standing with workers!
As a District taxpayer, I’m appalled that @CaseyTrees continues to avoid bargaining with our members at @CaseyTreesUnion.
DC is a union town.
Many thanks to @EleanorNorton for being a strong supporter of collective bargaining and unions. While we and Casey Trees Administration disagree on the bargaining unit, CT Admin still has the duty to bargain mandatory subjects with their unionized workers. #cometothetable#dmv
"A $1 billion budget cut threatens to undermine the quality of education in D.C.," warns WTU President Jacqueline Pogue-Lyons. "We cannot let our children's future be compromised." Watch her full interview with DC News Now to learn more.
Emily K is proud to be part of a union that will fight for all Casey Trees Workers. We're not letting Casey Trees Administration divide us. Let us know the DMV has our backs by signing our petition demanding Casey Trees Administration come to the table to bargain a fair contract: https://t.co/3Pe2Wy8TjP
BREAKING: CONGRATULATIONS to restaurant workers at St. Anselm who WON THEIR UNION ELECTION!! LET’S GO!!! 📣 📣 📣
DC restaurant workers are sick and tired of the industry status quo and have voted loud and clear for real change.
Shame on @CaseyTrees management who is refusing to bargain with their staff union, @CaseyTreesUnion. Join us in telling management to come to the bargaining table and negotiate a fair contract: https://t.co/cFWf6pWmWH
“Right now, Casey Trees management is accepting taxpayer funding while spending hundreds of dollars an hour on lawyers, instead of their workers and achieving canopy goals.”

Yesterday, we filed an unfair labor practice (ULP) charge with the National Labor Relations Board in response to CT Administration’s refusal to bargain. Refusing to bargain, even when an employer is trying to appeal a union vote, is a clear violation under the National Labor Relations Act. To make things worse, the Casey Trees Administration is likely depending on the Trump Administration's dismantling of the National Labor Relations Board to indefinitely delay their federal obligation to bargain in good faith. We're calling on the DMV community to stand up to to Casey Tree Administration's anti-worker tactics and demand they take a seat at the bargaining table.

Casey Trees Workers Sam and Emma take pride in helping DC students connect with nature and their community. There is no Casey Trees without Casey Trees Workers! @WTUTeacher@DCLabor
