It is very cool to see Women's basketball continue to grow in terms of popularity and viewership. More teams being created and an increase in total games played per season are two fantastic ideas to continue building momentum!
The WNBA's 2024 season featured historic viewership, record attendance, and more pursuit of expansion.
Now, the league is ready to build even more on its momentum.
Here's how ⬇️

#SMUAPSM4371 Buyouts have become such a huge issue in the past years. Being a coach for football either in the NFL or for college seems to be very risky. Possible discussion- Why has there been such huge rise in coach buyouts?
NFL and college coach buyouts are massive, but many are still finding their jobs publicly at risk very early in the season.
The margin of error has grown in both with expanded playoffs, but pressure to win right away may be greater than ever.

Meta-analysis on sport-based intervention in non-elite sport looking at mental health outcomes and mental health literacy.
Small effects were found for anxiety, stress, wellbeing, moderate-to-strong effects for stigmatizing attitudes, knowledge and help-provision. No significant effects for depression.
However, interventions are very diverse, which makes it difficult to draw far-reaching conclusions.
