@awesomousse it’s so frustrating that every other fed understands the strategy of scoring their top skaters generously at nats to set the precedent of such scores to intl judges, setting skaters up for worlds and then there’s jsf 🤦🏻♀️
@goatandlegacy I left behind being a fs fan after beijing but hearing all this dredges up past anger. It’s hard to laugh off knowing yuzu still thinks about it 😩
The way I saved this gif specifically cause people love to pretend Yuzu never fixed his flip cause they can never cope with him having incredible technique on all his jumps...
Watched this happen irl from the first row and ranted to my poor dad about this the whole drive from the comp to the airport. The fact that there were “fanyus” afterwards that bought into this bs trying to argue that k*vin deserved to win too…
Literally Yuzuru Hanyu.
Lakernik, Chairman of the ISU technical committee literally admitted they had to change the scoring system because Yuzuru Hanyu was 'winning too many titles and breaking too many world records' and later on eliminated the transitions category from PCS.
i’ve been trying to be the annoying fanyu that i am and find the footage of alysa and yuzuru goofing around together at the beijing gala practices but im having a hard time finding it…. if anyone has it pls hmu….

👩🦰: You admire Hanyu & often watch his videos before comps.
Shun: I’ve been doing that since last Worlds, but this time I watched SEIMEI after the 6-min warm-up to get that Olympic boost. He’s someone I'll always admire, & I’ll keep working toward him as my goal.
All eyes were on him, every movement scrutinized, the pressure unimaginable and he still kept his composure, delivered that incredible Chopin.
I don't think anything can top Seimei chsq moment when he realized he’s won. Oh, Yuzuru, the GOAT that you are.
This event was another reminder that I don’t think many people truly understand how absolutely insane Yuzuru’s second Olympic gold was. He came back after a long absence, with a fucked up ankle, up against a heavily favored American who’d been hyped by the media all season.
@cutiemedgirl You can only repeat two diff types of jumps. At that time, top male skaters repeated 4T in the free. By doing one 4S (higher BV than 4T) and one 4T instead, Yuzu was able to repeat the 3A and 3Lz (highest BV triples), giving him the highest base value going in
New fans don’t realize how extremely calculated yuzuru was even at 18. He purposely chose to include the 4S in Sochi (despite low success rate in competition) because it allowed him to repeat both the 3A and 3Lz, which he backloaded
So confused about this tweet. Yuzuru came into sochi as the gpf winner, SP world record holder, and a favorite to win. He was had the pressure of an entire country on him and nailed his SP twice, in the team and individual. Fanyus need to learn their history 😩
@lilazzera Yuzu beat Patrick by 13 points two months prior to Sochi whereas Ilia hadn’t lost in two seasons. I feel like Olympics was definitely more of an upset whereas Sochi was Yuzuru versus Patrick as the contenders
