Sgt. Tyler Vargas-Andrews, a U.S. Marine Corps sniper, tells Congress that he was not allowed to stop the suicide bomber in Afghanistan that killed 13 service members and over 170 civilians:
"Plain and simple, we were ignored. Our expertise was disregarded. No one was held accountable for our safety... The withdrawal was a catastrophe, in my opinion. There was an inexcusable lack of accountability."
Vargas-Andrews lost his right arm, left leg, and friends in the explosion.

Love how 3rd graders in @kararichburg and Mrs. Shaw’s classes used #iMovie to present their research while they were in their dioramas. 😍 #WEpirates#ADS#greenscreen@AppleEDU
This idea is an oldie, but goodie from @bhopteacher.
Today in 1854, the #RepublicanParty of the United States of America was founded by slavery opponents at a schoolhouse in Ripon, Wisconsin. Happy Birthday to the party of freedom, prosperity, and opportunity!
