When I have my own classroom in the future, I want to make sure that all my students get equal opportunities. If I don't give all my students the same chances, I will be automatically setting them up to fail.

@ms_woodman Yes! I didn't even think about the dress codes for girls. I too had a teacher tell me that I needed to cover up my shoulders while I was at school, and only an inch of my should was showing between my long sleeve shirt and my scarf that I was wearing. #TCHEdbirds

#3 One way an implicit bias and stereotype can show up in a class would be if the teacher has a predetermined stereotype about a student, and doesn't give them the same chance or opportunity as other students in the class.

Coming from a smaller town, not from the suburbs, everyone thinks that I live in the middle of nowhere surrounded by corn fields. When in fact, there are a lot of corn fields, but there is also a lot of people and opportunities in my hometown. #TCHEdBirds
