I love that the idea of an introduction in a presentation is to be upfront and tell the audience what you’re going to tell them in the rest of the presentation! I’m a very straightforward person and like getting to the point so I like the reasoning behind introductions. #tech3323

Chapter 10 says that maintaining a purpose statement will help organizing information and drafting alnalytical reports easier. When my group nd I meet tomorrow, we are going to come up with a purpose statement! #tech3323

Learning that audiences now expect perfect and polished presentations because of how easy it is to use a compute these days is intimidating! 😳 I still have a hard time using PowerPoint and need to update myself on how to work a computer properly... #tech3323

I agree with the textbook in Chapter 3 when it talks gives suggestions on how to run effective meetings. Encouraging participation is so huge because I have been to club meetings that are not interactive and they were really boring! #tech3323

I have never had to design a culturally deep document before. I feel like it would be really hard and take a lot of background research in order to familiarize myself with the language and symbols of a different culture! #tech3323

Alignment, one of the Five Principles of Design, is so important in a document! Thank goodness my computer automatically aligns pictures/images and words on the page or else the reader might be a little more confused by my design. #tech3323

I agree with Chapter 8 when it talks about the first draft of a proposal is always difficult. For me, that concept translates over into any paper I have to write! It is always hard to get my creative juices flowing once I initially start writing. #tech3323

I never realized how much white space is used, not only in formal documents, but also in magazines! I would much rather read a magazine with lots of white space than one that is full of text on text on text, with no grouping. #tech3323
