@SvenHaheim@jojjeols Australia is arguably a successful multicultural society. It is much more interesting living in a multicultural society than one which is monotonously the same everywhere you go.
@selinawangtv@CNN The US shouldn’t be bailing out banks - encourages risky lending. China also should not bail them out but they should give lengthy jail sentences to the banker CEOs.
@jenniferzeng97 Mainland China can be a very cruel society. When I was first learning Mandarin in Taipei back in the early 90’s both the Mainlanders and Taiwanese were warning me not to go to mainland China. They said it was a cruel and unsafe society.
@engwooi@AndyBxxx A pair of chop sticks placed beside a hamburger just for the sole Asian in the restaurant is just plain weird.. but it happens to westerners in China. A fork next to noodles … I can’t stand it
@engwooi@AndyBxxx Some people find it offensive that someone thinks they’re incapable of using chopsticks. It would be considered in Australia very rude to give an Asian a set of chopsticks at a restaurant. It’s like saying you’re not one of us.
@zcs700228@__Inty__@GriffJenkins What you don’t realise is the majority of small cities in America are relatively safe. People there have much better lives than people even in countries like Australia. Don’t believe everything you hear about from public information broadcasters in China.
@macastel3 We’ll be relying on China for EVs while they rely on our lithium (just like they rely on Australia’s iron ore to strengthen and build their military for eventual world domination;)
